THE PURPOSE
The Stayblock Initiative is a joint venture with Tokopoly Inc. and the Calgary Black Chamber, designed to equip the next generation of computer scientists with practical, AI-resilient skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy. By combining tokenization,
with real-world applications in hospitality real estate and hands-on project experience, StayBlock goes beyond theory to prepare students to be truly employer-ready. The program focuses on building adaptable problem-solving abilities, technical fluency, and an understanding of decentralized systems—ensuring graduates can work alongside emerging technologies like AI rather than be replaced by them. Through progressive training pathways, StayBlock empowers students to develop future-proof careers and become innovators in the next wave of digital infrastructure.

RECRUITMENT
You need to be between the ages 16 to 24. There will 10 students chosen for each program, 30 recruits per cohort. There is no up front cost for recruits but a short admissions test is required for entry.
ABOUT THE ADMISSIONS TEST
Skills Lab
The test is approximately thirty minutes in duration and you must score 85% or higher to pass. This will demonstrate a basic comprehension of digital concepts and logic. To prepare, students should understand simple ideas like what tokenization is, how wallets and private keys work, and basic JavaScript concepts such as variables, addition, and if statements. No prior coding experience is required, but they should be comfortable reading very simple code and thinking logically.
Practicum Series
The test is approximately fourty-five minutes in duration and you must score 85% or higher to pass. Recruits must demonstrate they can apply blockchain concepts and write or fix basic code. Preparation should include understanding blockchain fundamentals (tokens, smart contracts, wallets, gas fees), basic JavaScript functions, and how blockchain connects to real-world use cases like real estate or rewards systems. Students should also be familiar with simple problem-solving and percentages.
Developer Program
The test is approximately one hour in duration and you must score 85% or higher to pass. Recruits must demonstrate strong logical thinking, coding ability, and system-level understanding. Preparation should include working knowledge of JavaScript, understanding how smart contracts function, familiarity with blockchain architecture (wallets, contracts, transactions), and awareness of basic security risks. Students should also be able to think through how a real-world blockchain application is structured end-to-end.
STEP. 1
Sign up with email, password and I.D. Identify your program of interest. Briefly explain your coding experience, if any.
STEP. 2
Recieve login confirmation email from our administration and proceed to admissions test.
STEP. 3
Take the test and wait a maximum of seven days to know whether or not you're accepted into the program, via email.
STEP. 4
Those accepted will need to provide their availability (month, days and hours).
